Car hire in Saragossa
4 offices in Saragossa · airport pick-up · Spain
Saragossa is the great crossroads of the Ebro valley: halfway between Madrid and Barcelona, with the Basilica del Pilar, the Aljafería palace and two thousand years of Roman, Moorish and Mudéjar layers in its old town. But its real appeal for the motoring traveller lies all around: the Monegros desert, the Moncayo massif, the Mudéjar villages and, a little further off, the Aragonese Pyrenees.
With four pick-up points — the airport, Delicias station and the city — it's a convenient base whether you arrive by plane or by AVE. Aragon is a vast, sparsely populated region where public transport between districts is minimal: a car turns what would be an odyssey by bus into a simple day trip.

- Aragon is one of Europe's least densely populated regions: without a car, the Monegros, the Moncayo and the villages of the Jiloca are out of reach.
- Pick up at the airport or at Delicias station: if you arrive by AVE, you're driving away within minutes.
- It's the natural launch point for the Pyrenees: Huesca is ~45 min away and the Ordesa and Tena valleys around two hours.

Frequently asked questions
Is it worth hiring a car if I'm only visiting Saragossa city?
For the city itself, no: the centre is flat, compact and well served by tram. Hiring makes sense from day two onwards, when you want to head out to the Monasterio de Piedra, Belchite, the Moncayo or up to the Pyrenees.
Can I collect the car straight off the AVE?
Yes, there's a hire office at Zaragoza-Delicias station, as well as at the airport and in the centre. It's the quickest option if you're coming from Madrid or Barcelona and want to start your route the same day.
