Car hire in Menorca
1 office in Menorca · airport pick-up · Spain
Menorca is the Balearic island that chose to take things slowly: a Biosphere Reserve in its entirety, turquoise coves fringed by pine woods, the Camí de Cavalls circling the island and two capitals of opposite character — British-flavoured Mahón and stately Ciutadella. It all fits into some 50 km end to end.
That is precisely why a car is the logical way to experience it: buses link the main towns but not the coves, and the best ones — Macarella, Pregonda, Pilar — mean reaching specific car parks early. Collecting your vehicle at Menorca-Mahón Airport the moment you land saves transfers and gives you the whole island from day one.

- Direct pick-up at Menorca-Mahón Airport: leave the terminal and you are on the main road within minutes.
- The unspoilt coves of the south and the reddish beaches of the north have no bus service; without a car you are limited to the town beaches.
- The island is small: Mahón to Ciutadella takes ~45 min, so you can switch coasts each day depending on the wind.

Frequently asked questions
Can you park near the coves in summer?
In high season the car parks at coves such as Macarella and Turqueta fill up or close early in the morning; it pays to set off early, use the shuttle services or choose lesser-known coves, of which Menorca has plenty.
What kind of car should I hire for Menorca?
A small one: the roads are narrow, the final stretches to many coves are unsurfaced tracks open to ordinary cars, and in the villages a compact vehicle is far easier to park than a large one.
