Should I collect the car at Cuenca's AVE station?
Yes, especially if you're arriving from Madrid or Valencia: Fernando Zóbel station is well away from the centre and the car solves the transfer. You can also pick up in the city if you'd rather explore the old town on foot first.
Can I drive up into Cuenca's old town?
Access is restricted and the streets are very narrow, so the sensible option is to park in the lower town or at the castle car park and explore the upper city on foot. Save the car for the sierra and the castles.
